I received the package from Tarja yesterday. The postmark indicated it was mailed on October 31, 2008 from Finland and I received it in the US on November 21, 2008. I believe it was sent using the equivalent of our US media mail, so the time would make sense.

The contents were:

Four pinhole cameras fabricated from black plastic 35mm film canister holders and four extra pieces of black and white photographic paper.

This morning, after shoveling last nights present from the sky, I put one camera on the satellite dish support facing 140 degrees and the other three on the front porch roof supports facing 190,240 and 320 degrees. The plan is to have a panorama of the Sun’s path from today until just before we go to Cancun in February. I’ll take the four cameras down, remove and replace the film, and take them with us for the four day vacation. When we get back I will send the whole deal back to Finland, then wait until she lets me know if any of the images worked out.
